Attracting Attack

This is for all of the Jesus seeking, loving, walking- talking, fruity followers and servants of our King.

Anointed- being set apart for His purpose, to be endowed with enabling gifts and grace, being filled with His Spirit. (2 Cor 1:21-22, 2 Cor 12:4,7-11, James 4:6)

Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 (NKJV)

The words anoint, anointed, and anointing appear in more than 150 Bible verses, including 22 New Testament Scriptures.

When I was first born again & saved- I had this idea that I was above attack because I was His anointed. I understood His healing and transforming power- I knew it first-hand. I knew the Word said that I would have Authority to trample over demons in Jesus name (Luke 10:19)- but I guess I didn't think about the fact that demons have to be there before the need to trample happens. I just thought that this new walk with Jesus was going to be easy- snake free. I knew we would go through trials and tests...but I was above attack.

No actually, the truth is- the anointing can attract attack. If you are willing to be mightily used for His Kingdom- do not be surprised by an attack.

I had missed something important, as soon as Jesus was baptized, the Holy Spirit from Heaven descended upon Him. And then... He was led up of the Spirit into the wilderness where the devil tried to mess with Him. So the Anointed One was attacked- just after He was filled with the Holy Spirit.

So there it is. Proof for us all- the anointing can attract attack. Someone needs to hear this, and I pray even now, that as you are reading this He gives discernment to your spirit to receive this- if this word is for you:

It is not because you have messed up- it is not due to your disobedience- rather the adversary wants you because he wants the Word of your testimony that will bring glory to your Father. Period.

Don't let him have it. You are in a battle that has already been won. You have all the weapons you need (Ephesians 6:17, Hebrews 4:12). Use them. Do not give up. Speak things as if they were so (Romans 4:17).

If you have to wonder if you are being attacked...you are probably not!

You will know for sure. Like in years and seasons past I thought my finances were under "attack"- maybe they were- but I was the attacker!

God shares with us in Isaiah that we will go through things. Notice He says, when...not if.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Isaiah 43:2

So assuming you know for sure...and you will know for sure, here are some nuggets to think about:

There are two extreme camps in our body. One camp usually tends to ignore that satan roars around trying to devour us...the other rebukes him from everything constantly, as if he were on the same level as our Almighty God. Both are wrong. And then there certainly times when we all play the blame game and give satan a little more credit than he deserves! Do I hear an amen?

I am NOT talking about minor stuff here...I'm talking mega magnitude- earthquaking, shakin' ATTACK.

A few months back- there is no doubt that my family was experiencing an attack from our adversary. No doubt. On several levels, almost paralyzing in nature.

Without Jesus- I can tell you that I would not have survived. I thought two moves- job changes, financial struggles, living in West Atlantic City- being so far away from family and friends- I thought that was tough...I hadn't seen nothin' yet (I know- a double negative- really, it’s ok).

He was and is my only source of strength. His Word and a few, very few, well grounded in the Word Christians, got me through it.

During the season of the attack I prayed and prayed and prayed. I spoke life into the circumstance, constantly calling things as they should be according to His Word (Romans 4:17).

I actually did not fast at this time- I had been led to fast incredible amounts of time during the previous year- thank the Lord- I know that brought me closer to Him and prepared me for what was happening.

Only the Word of God could comfort me.

During one time of prayer, I heard from God...

You were seeking me- I have promised to turn it all for My glory.

And...

I am taking you to a new level of trust.

"Ok Lord,You know how much I love You- I will do anything for You."

Then trust Me- it will be for My glory.
Reflect who I am.

So I'll end with this-truths that I have come to understand when you are experiencing attack:

1.This attack has been approved by your Daddy in heaven, He works all things after the counsel of His own will (Ephesians 1:11).

2.This is temporary...But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 1 Peter 5:10
3.This will be used for His glory. Romans 8:28
4. He is with you every step of the way and has provided you with armor- be sure to put it on daily. Ephesians 6:10-18

I pray that no weapon formed against your Kingdom purpose will prosper (Isaiah 54:17)!!!!!!!!!! In agreement with you!

For Your Glory Lord!
