Chasing the Trash Truck in My Thermals

About three weeks ago I was sick- I took some cold medicine one night and it knocked me completely out. I feel asleep with my sun glasses on(long story, they are prescription) watching tv. I had the sick hair thing going on etc... not a pretty picture.

The trash had not been picked up that day- which greatly concerned me- so as I dosed off... I was thinkin' that I needed to call the sanitation folks in the morning and see what was going on.

I awoke the next morning, still in a cold medicine daze, to the sound of the trash truck coming down our street. Not even sure how- I jumped up- ran out the door- flung open the garage door- somehow picked up a 50lb trash can and with my arms wrapped around it, started chasing after the trash truck. Still don't know how I did it. I know I gave all those guys a big laugh. Especially considering I still had on my sunglasses(prescription), my sick hair do(please tell me you know what I am talking about) and get this....my white...long johns(thermal underwear).

Turns out the trash truck was not late. I had the days mixed up.

I share this to illustrate what I think the Lord spoke to me- Bring your trash to me and I will take care of it. I will never be late, you keep focused on putting it all at my feet- no matter how heavy it is- no matter how messed up you feel-no matter how stinky your trash... I will take care of it.

And no one matter how tired you are- I will be your strength (Ex 15:2, Psalm 29:11).

I had no idea how much that would mean to me- and I pray that message seeps deep into what ever you are dealing with. If you are in a valley- health, marriage, job, finance or family related, you dig a well of faith(Psalm 84). God will rain down some healing!!!! He is your strength (Psalm 37:39)- He is your peace (1 Cr 14:33). Keep in His Word and don't you dare believe the enemy's lies.

Jesus wants your trash and He is not surprised by what is in it!

Praising Him...keeping eternity in mind.
